OPW establishes TETRA communications link with the Blasket Islands

The OPW have extended their use of the NDRS to now include the Blasket Islands. Tetra will provide resilient, always available communications for the guides assisting the many thousands of visitors to the islands. In a region where coverage is poor or non-existent, Tetra provides clear and robust communications to ensure smooth day-to-day operational duties. 

The NDRS will also provide direct communications for the OPW with Velentia Coastguard via Tetra, which is a vital link to ensure the safety and quick transfer of staff or visitors if necessary.
